Curious about Balinese Gamelan? Here’s your chance to try it out!

Whether you’ve seen the Gamelan Ensemble perform, have always wanted to learn more, or have never played before, this free, interactive opportunity is open to all ages and ability levels.

Join teachers and LCMS Community Gamelan members on August 11–14, 6:00–6:30 p.m. in Shattuck Hall, Room 163 for a chance to experience Balinese Gamelan firsthand. No experience necessary!

This fall, Lawrence Community Girl Choir is honored to welcome internationally acclaimed singer, composer, and educator Elise Witt as our Artist in Residence - and she has a special invitation just for you.

In this heartfelt message, Elise shares what inspires her music, the theme of her residency, "Open the Window," and the exciting experiences awaiting our singers throughout the season.

From learning and performing original music to exploring creativity, confidence, and community, this residency is a truly unique opportunity for young singers to grow as musicians and individuals.

Great to see our Girl Choir singers, past and present, making music in the community!

Another example of our growing Fox River Community Theater community!
We have so many different families involved in our production, one of those being Lawrence Community Girl Choir! We have current singers, teacher-conductors, and Alumni involved in our production of Encore! We love that our ensemble members have connections on and off the stage! Only two more chances to see our singers on perform!
Encore! A Musical Cabaret is tonight at 7 and Sunday at 2 at Xavier Fine Arts Theater in Appleton!

That's a wrap on Summer Girl Choir 2026! After a week of learning, fun, and forming new friendships, the singers presented a lovely concert for family and friends. They even taught the audience one of the songs and the dance moves as well. What a sweet moment!

We’re thrilled to announce a special Artist in Residence coming to Lawrence Community Girl Choir for Fall 2026! 🎶✨

This season, singers will have the opportunity to work with an internationally recognized singer, composer, and educator.

Elise Witt has performed everywhere from Carnegie Hall in New York City to the legendary Bluebird Café in Nashville and led workshops all over the world — and now she’ll be collaborating with our Girl Choir singers through music, creativity, and community.

Known for her engaging, joyful approach to music-making, Elise works with singers of all ages to build confidence and connection through song.

This is a unique opportunity for young singers to:
🎵 Work with a composer as you learn and perform her original music
🎵 Build confidence and leadership
🎵 Experience inspiring workshops and performances
