Fox River Academy offers a uniquely rewarding environment. With a strong focus on the Fox River watershed, core subjects are taught through an integrated, hands-on curriculum in multi-age classrooms. This approach allows teachers to collaborate across grade levels, build deeper relationships with students, and design meaningful learning experiences that connect disciplines in authentic ways. Here, learning doesn't stay indoors. Weekly field experiences bring students into nature, turning the outdoors into an extension of the classroom. As a teacher, you'll guide students in making real-world connections between hands-on observations and academic content, helping them develop analytical thinking skills while fostering a genuine sense of environmental stewardship.

Certification Required: Regular Education (1777) or Elementary/Middle (1088/2088) with proper grade certification

Online Registration Now Open for the 2026-27 School Year

While you're enjoying summer, now is a great time to take care of a few important back-to-school tasks.

Online registration is now open for all Appleton Area School District families. Completing registration early helps the district prepare for the upcoming school year by scheduling transportation, assigning teachers, and arranging any services students may need.

As part of the registration process, families can:

🍎 Register their student(s) for the 2026-27 school year
🍎 Complete the Meal Benefits Application
🍎 Pay school fees
🍎 Sign required annual documents
🍎Review important immunization information
