We’re excited to welcome new students for the 2026–2027 school year! 💚We have a couple more openings in our Children's House and Kindergarten programs!

✨ Now enrolling children ages 2.5–5
📚 School year begins August 31st
🏫 Tours are available — come see our beautiful classrooms and Montessori environment in action!
⏰ Full-day program: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
💚 Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lunch tastes better when you make it yourself! This week, several friends helped make this meal. While we chopped, peeled and seasoned, we discussed what each food does for our bodies and how it keep us healthy and strong. Allowing kids to prepare and learn about their meals helps foster a healthy relationship to food, and they were all so proud to contribute to a delicious lunch! 🥗

In a Montessori classroom, we believe that independence begins with trust. When a child is matching words to photographs, they are doing much more than completing a lesson—they are building vocabulary, strengthening their reading skills, developing concentration, and discovering the joy of figuring something out on their own.

That moment of “I did it!” is powerful. It builds confidence, persistence, and a belief in their own abilities. We give them the time, space, and encouragement to grow.

There is something truly special about watching a child prepare their own snack. What may look like a simple, everyday task is actually an opportunity for growth, confidence, and independence.

In our Montessori classroom, children are encouraged to care for themselves and their environment. Pouring, cutting, serving, and cleaning up allow children to practice coordination, concentration, responsibility, and problem-solving, all while experiencing the pride that comes from doing something for themselves.

Small moments of independence today help build the confident, capable adults of tomorrow.

☀️ July was full of adventure, discovery, and fun! 🌿🔬💦🎪🐾

From exploring the animal kingdom to discovering the wonders of science, our campers spent the month learning through hands-on experiences, outdoor adventures, and creative adventures!
Here’s a look back at July at FVMA:

🐾 Animal Kingdom Week — We explored the world of animals and discovered what makes each creature unique.

🔬 Spectacular Science Week — Our young scientists experimented, investigated, and discovered that learning can be wonderfully messy and exciting!

💦 Water Wonder Week — We made a splash while exploring water through play and refreshing summer fun.

🎪 Carnival Week — We brought the excitement of the carnival to camp with games, creativity, laughter, and lots of fun!

🏕️ Nature & Camping Week — We connected with the great outdoors through nature exploration, camping-inspired activities, and outdoor fun.

At Montessori, we believe children learn best when they can explore, wonder, create, and experience the world firsthand. July gave us plenty of opportunities to do just that! 💚

With Spring Break around the corner, we are taking a look back at the end of Winter! 🥶
We learned about those in the community that help people in February and explored the world of Zoology in March!
We are looking forward to warmer weather very soon which means learning about our waters, oceans and the flowers they help bloom! 🌹
