Play & Grow Learning Center at Appleton

These two girls will not be able to make the next karate class. Today they had some special one on one time with Mr. Jordan to practice some kicks and to break a board. How awesome that they were able to fit the last class in. Thank you!!

We have had an eventful week! Today we had a visit from Mischief and Magic! I have to say there are some pretty good balloon twisters here at PGLC!

In all the week’s exciting summer activities, I totally forgot to post pictures of our Skunk room saving Fred the gummy worm! The object of the game is to get Fred the worm off the cup and into his gummy life preserver only using paper clips. It’s a great work together activity!! Fun was had by all. 😊

We had a visit from Fang today! So thankful for the kids to have this opportunity to enjoy meeting a celebrity! There were many screams of excitement!! I was told one child called him Frank! lol.

Skunk room’s final field trip summer of 2026. They had an awesome time! Thank you to the moms and dads that came to help as the children ran from one activity to another. AND a shout out to the adults that made sure the go-karts were accessible to those who were too short by driving several times so each child had a turn! I think this field trip may have been the favorite. ❤️

Work together Wednesday was harder than it looked! Skunk room needed to put on blindfolds and work together to tighten the rope into a square or a circle. Beaver room decided to relax and do a little fishing!!

Badger Room had a great time at Luv 2 Play! What an awesome way to end a fun summer of field trips. :)

Today we had our third Karate class with Conquer Martial Arts. We worked on a new karate move, the push front kick. All of the kids did so well. It is awesome seeing each child’s confidence grow each and every class they take! 🥋 ☯️

Today was the Monday to beat all Mondays! We had a combined Badger/Skunk field trip to see Toy Story 5 and they did awesome!! We also made it back just in time to avoid the storm that went through. Shout Out to all our teachers for responding quickly and safely - the children did great too. :) So thankful for our staff. Here are a few smiles and pictures of how the rest of the morning went.

Bird/Sunflower week has been a wonderful week of exploration! We finally got back outside for water day, enjoyed Fox Pop, and explored feathers, birds, sunflowers, and even washed a few cars. Many smiles were seen this week. Especially as they loved on their Noah's Ark stuffed animals. Thank you to Angie, Jason, Jacquie, and Jordan for providing everything that went into this great week!
