HIRING LEAD CHILDCARE TEACHER 

I’m looking for the right person to join us at Little Lambs in Appleton!

If you are dependable, patient, nurturing, and genuinely enjoy working with children, I would love to hear from you.

✨ Childcare experience is a plus, but not required!
If you’re a great fit for our program, required training is available and will be paid for by the employer.

💲 Starting pay: $17–$23/hour
Pay is based on experience, education, and qualifications.

Little Lambs is a small, licensed, Montessori-inspired childcare program with a calm, home-like environment. I’m looking for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, and wants to be part of a program where the children are truly cared for like family.

Young children have an incredible desire to participate in the world around them.

Pouring. Carrying. Cleaning. Serving. Dressing. Putting things away. Caring for their environment.

What looks like an ordinary everyday task to an adult can be incredibly meaningful work for a child.

These practical-life experiences help build coordination, concentration, responsibility and—perhaps most importantly—the confidence that comes from realizing:

“I can do this myself.”

☀️🌿 Our classroom doesn’t end at the back door.

Outside is an important part of our day at Amy’s Ark.

Our outdoor environment invites children to dig, pour, build, create, climb, investigate and get wonderfully messy.

There aren’t instructions telling them exactly what they’re supposed to create.

A stick can become a spoon.

Leaves can become ingredients.

Water can become an experiment.

And a tiny bug can stop an entire group in its tracks.

We believe children deserve time to experience childhood with their whole bodies and all of their senses.

Sometimes the best learning comes home with dirt on its knees.

🌿 Little bodies need BIG movement.

At Amy’s Ark, we know learning doesn’t only happen while sitting at a table.

Children learn through their entire bodies.

Climbing, balancing, crawling, stretching and navigating space help develop coordination, strength, body awareness, problem-solving and confidence.

That’s why we’ve intentionally created opportunities for gross-motor development indoors as well as outside.

Even when Wisconsin weather has other plans, little bodies still need to move.

We’re here for it.

🌱 Why are our shelves set up this way?

Because our environment belongs to the children, too.

Materials are displayed where little hands can see and reach them, giving children opportunities to make choices and begin taking ownership of their learning.

They choose.

They carry.

They work.

They practice.

And when they’re finished, they learn to return their materials so they’re ready for someone else.

It looks simple—but there’s so much happening underneath.

Independence. Concentration. Decision-making. Coordination. Responsibility.

Our Montessori-inspired environment isn’t designed to entertain children.

It’s designed to invite them to engage.
