Some spring break makerspace goings-on: spinning wool with Professor Gamalinda, making custom parts with Professor Ureña González (this one almost worked on the first try), and not pictured- students embroidering, patching, and sewing. It's always great to make some time for making!!

Did you know that the LU Makerspace is 10 years old?! Take a look at the display cases on the first floor of the library to see just some of the cool stuff that's happened in the Makerspace since 2015.

Gillian and Ben were the lucky ones who won our makerspace survey drawing! Pictured with their prizes is Sydney. The survey is part of an independent study project she's doing about makerspace grants and statistics.

Faculty from 8 different departments attended our makerspace mingle yesterday! It was a great opportunity to share project ideas, experiences, and hopes for the makerspace. Are you a Lawrence University faculty or staff member who would like to chat about how the makerspace can help you with your teaching, research, or work? Email Angela Vanden Elzen to set up a meeting!

While the makerspace can be used by those with access over reading period, we are not offering open training sessions or support hours. All of our makerspace team members are off doing cool stuff for the weekend. We'll be back to help you on Monday 5/12!
Our open training and support hours for the term are listed on https://guides.lib.lawrence.edu/makerspace

We love working with Innovation and Entrepreneurship students and faculty in the makerspace! This term, several teams in the In Pursuit of Innovation classes (there are 2 sections!) have been using the makerspace to make their prototypes come to life. Here, Professor Irene meets with a team from her section in the makerspace.

Ava and Jamie got creative with their First Year Studies course and made a beautiful mosaic to visualize the power of water. Here they are with the work-in-progress design. We'll share the completed project soon!
