Our mascot, Spark the Lightning Bug, met with Superintendent Hartjes today! They brainstormed bright ideas to make this school year an exciting one!

With August here, we are counting down the days until our pods are filled with your smiling faces. Spark is completely charged up and cannot wait to see you back at Sandy Slope.

Join us for our FREE Family Fun Run! It is the perfect chance to meet other school families, learn about upcoming events, and chat with our Sandy Slope Elementary PTO.

Students can run solo around the Sandy Slope block or race together as a family. All ages and abilities are welcome!

Registration is now open for the 2026-27 school year! Please register now and spread the word to friends/neighbors who are new to our school!

Online registration can be completed through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

📚Infinite Campus Parent Portal:
Parents can select More from the menu, then choose Online Registration.
Usernames and passwords can be reset through the "Forgot Username/Password" link on the IC Parent Portal login page.

☀️ What a busy week at summer school! Our students had a blast crafting art pieces, designing bright sarape patterns, making handmade maracas, exploring space, creating board games, eating ice cream for breakfast, and reading by flashlight. 🎨🪇🎲🍦✨🌍

🔥Next week will be very warm, so please ensure your student brings a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated.

🪄 Magic: The Gathering: Mastering tactics and strategy with this popular card game.
✨ 1st Grade: Enjoying sunshine, fresh air, and fun at recess.
🎒 Kindergarten: Practicing our alphabet and learning letters and sounds.
🔢 Math: Playing fun learning games to practice mathematical concepts.

We are looking forward to three more weeks of learning and fun!
