Greetings!

My name is Heather Watney. I am accepting new students for fall 2021. Lessons are taught at my home in a dedicated separate studio include:

Piano - beginner through advanced
Cello - beginner through advanced
Violin - beginner only
Viola - beginner only
• half hour ($21) or
• hour lessons ($42)
• weekly lessons (except summer)
• basic music theory incorporated
• recital opportunities
• three month billing cycle

Chamber string ensemble coaching
• duets, trios, quartets
• your preformed ensembles
• bi-weekly or weekly lessons
• one hour sessions ($60 split)
• lesson packages in multiples of 5

Music Theory
Music arranging
Composing
• weekly lessons (except summer)
• half hour ($21) or
• hour lessons ($42)
• Intermediate or advanced music
students
• three month billing cycle

COVID Precaution Measures:
—> Masks required by all students
—> I am fully vaccinated
—> in room HEPA filter air purifier
—> 30 min. full house air circulation
—> Bathroom available
—> Sanitation between students

As a reminder, due to the pandemic "Quartette Affetuoso" will not be booking events at current time nor for 2021. I have renamed this page to my personal teaching studio page until such time as my string friends and I are booking gigs again. Be safe, wear a mask!

I often get unique requests for modern songs that aren't in our repertoire. Sometimes I can buy those, but sometimes I can't. Today I'm writing out "At Last" by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren (sung by Etta James) for string quartet to be played as a recessional for an upcoming wedding. It's a great song and eventually it will sound something like this (link below). If you want a unique song written out for a string ensemble playing at your event, even if you're not hiring our group to play, remember that Heather does custom arranging!
