A LEARNING COMMUNITY THAT EMPOWERS INDIVIDUALS TO BECOME PURPOSEFUL ADULTS Valley New School (VNS) provides an unusual environment in several ways.
No separate classrooms, but a large, open, business-like space. No rows of desks, but pods of L-shaped workstations with a computer shared by each pair of students. No “teachers,” but an advisor assigned to each group of approximately 16 students. No bells, but time-management placed essentially in the hands of individual students. The Luedtke Advisory spent the day exploring and learning at Ledge View Nature Center, while The Fourness Advisory hit the trails for a hike at High Cliff State Park.

Cardboard Arcade was a hit! 🎮📦
Huge thanks to all the students, families, and community members who came out to support the creativity, engineering, and imagination behind this year’s arcade. From handmade games to awesome prizes and nonstop fun, it was an amazing day for Valley New School!
