Dear Students and Parents,
We have received many concerned phone calls, texts, and emails regarding the storm forecasted for this evening.
Between 6:00–9:00 PM, there is a significant risk of severe weather in our area. Conditions may include high winds, heavy storms, large hail, and the potential for tornadoes.
Due to the elevated risk and in the interest of everyone’s safety, Heartbeat will be canceling all classes for tonight, Monday, April 13th.
We encourage everyone to stay safe and take all necessary precautions this evening.

Heartbeat’s Academy Highlight Award Announcement for “LION KING”!
Congratulations to Rose Delaney and Finlea Monahan on being selected for this year’s June show Academy Highlight Award! They will perform an original Modern duet created specifically for them by Grace Fredell in the June 20th and 21st “LION KING” performances!
Academy Highlight Award
Academy students selected by Heartbeat's teaching staff to receive an Academy Highlight Award will perform an original piece created just for them. Academy Highlights are announced for inclusion in both January and June productions. The selection process is based on the Academy student's classroom performance, demonstration as a role model, focus in class, determination for improvement and positive attitude. The Academy Highlight is a great honor; these students are recognized by our teaching staff as role models for the Academy Program and Heartbeat’s student body. They will also receive an Academy Highlight trophy during the Academy award ceremony that opens each of the June Evening productions.
Heartbeat Performing Arts Center’s Academy program is unique to anything in the Midwest. By guiding and mentoring students in creating and producing their own works, they discover and build confidence in their unique artistic voice, strong college applications through the Academy Program experiences - many leading to full or partial scholarships, and develop leadership skills that last a lifetime.
