The California Association of Health and Education Linked Professions (CAHELP) Joint Powers Authority is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This executive leadership opportunity offers the chance to shape and advance innovative special education programs and services that support students, families, school districts, and communities throughout the region.
About the Role:
The CEO provides strategic, administrative, and programmatic leadership for CAHELP, including:
- Desert/Mountain SELPA
- Desert/Mountain Charter SELPA
- Desert/Mountain Children's Center
The successful candidate will work closely with the Governance Council to implement the organization's vision, lead high-quality services, and navigate the evolving legal, legislative, fiscal, and operational landscape of special education.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Education, Special Education, Behavioral Science, Educational Administration, or a related field
- Valid California Preliminary or Clear Administrative Services Credential
- Five (5) years of current experience as a district-level director, SELPA administrator, or higher-level special education administrator
-Experience developing and implementing Special Education Local Plans and supervising staff.
