Happy National School Communicators Day!

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible student voices behind so much of our Lewis Center storytelling, our PR Interns, Tiffany from NSLA and David from AAE!

From covering events and creating social media content to capturing the everyday moments that make our schools special, these two have worked tirelessly all school year to support Lewis Center-wide public relations and communications efforts.

Under the mentorship of Lewis Center Public Information Officer Jisela Corona, Tiffany and David have grown into talented young communicators and storytellers who help showcase the heart of our schools each and every day. 💙

Thank you both for your creativity, dedication, and passion for sharing the Lewis Center story!

Today, the Lewis Center Board of Directors and Executive Team proudly recognized outstanding student achievements from both campuses — and what an incredible celebration it was!

Academy for Academic Excellence (AAE):
AAE’s Mock Trial team was honored for an exceptional season, earning the title of Best School in the High Desert Region. Their preparation, professionalism, and courtroom presence truly set them apart.

A special congratulations to student journalist May Boettcher, who earned 2nd place for her courtroom journal entries. Because of her outstanding performance, May will now represent AAE at the Mock Trial State Competition in Oakland next month. We are so proud of her excellence in both writing and reporting!

Norton Science and Language Academy (NSLA):
NSLA’s Poetry Out Loud scholars were also recognized for their incredible accomplishments.

Maximilian Goodly, 1st Place County Winner
Luis Barajas, Runner-Up

Max will go on to represent NSLA and San Bernardino County at the California State Poetry Out Loud Finals in Sacramento — an extraordinary honor that reflects his dedication, poise, and powerful recitation skills.

NSLA Boys Soccer:
Our NSLA Boys Soccer team was celebrated for an unforgettable season, earning the title of Majestic League Champions and qualifying for the CIF Finals.

Team captains Francisco Gomez, Ricardo Torres, and Raymond Valdez were individually recognized for their exceptional leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment throughout the season.

We are incredibly proud of these students for representing the Lewis Center with excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, and the arts. Their achievements are a reflection of the talent, dedication, and heart that define both AAE and NSLA.
