On Behalf of Apopka Memorial Middle School, we hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break.

AMMS graciously provided Thanksgiving meal's to 40 of our Familie's yesterday, and what a Blessing that is for us to be a part of.

We need to Thank Shaunte Jemison of Reimagine Communities for donating 5 food Basket's, as well as Mrs.Wallace and Mrs.Simmerly, with our FYV Girl's Club, gathering the donation's throughout the school, to assist 35 of our familie's.

Teach-In at Apopka Memorial Middle School is scheduled for Thursday, November 18th. If you are interested in participating or know of someone who may be interested in participating, please contact Ms. Macon via the information below.

What is TEACH IN?
Each November, in celebration of American Education Week, the Foundation brings business and civic leaders into the classrooms - in a fun and engaging way - to talk with students about academics, careers and the future.
Volunteers can involve entire middle school classes in projects like a mock election. Some give demonstrations using musical instruments, scientific equipment or teach practical, personal skills to high school students such as managing a checking account and using credit cards wisely.
You can read a book; share an educational experience; give students a window into your career; or talk about a favorite vacation, hobby, or even a special teacher who touched your life. Whatever your skills, no matter your topic, there is a classroom of students waiting to hear from you! You may be our guest in-person or virtually this year. Please register to be a presenter at: volunteer.ocps.net - select Apopka Memorial Middle School.
