🎨 Inspired by Paul Klee in 2nd Grade Art! 🌈
Yesterday, 2nd grade artists learned about famous artist Paul Klee, known for his imaginative artwork filled with bold colors, shapes, and creative designs!
Inspired by Klee’s colorful style, students created their own works of art using paint sticks and pastels to produce bright hues, interesting shapes, and unique designs. 🖍️✨
The students did a wonderful job experimenting with color and letting their creativity shine! 🎨❤️

🎨 Three Little Birds in Montessori Art! 🐦
Yesterday, Montessori artists in Ms. Eliana’s class enjoyed reading Three Little Birds and then brought the story to life through art!
Inspired by the story, students created their own bright, colorful birds, using their creativity and imagination to make each one unique. What a wonderful way to combine literacy, art, and hands-on Montessori learning! ❤️💛💙

🔬 Building, Creating & Collaborating in STEM! 🚀
During our first two weeks of STEM, students have been busy putting teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving into action!
Working in groups, students collaborated to build a variety of objects while sharing ideas, making decisions, testing solutions, and learning from one another. These hands-on challenges gave students an opportunity to strengthen important STEM skills while also building a strong classroom community.
We’re off to a fantastic start and can’t wait to see what our young innovators create next! ⚙️✨

For the fall season of our 2026 PLTW Engineering Essentials course, our young engineers are now hired by the Haunted Forest Company to design student centered electromechanical frights for our growing school community. In these beginning design phases, students brainstorm various methods to make the attraction become a reality. From using robotic arms to remotely manipulate a frightening rotting tree arm to prototyping specific props with balsa wood and 3D print outs, students continually design and redesign as new concepts and revelations come forward. This is going to be an interesting October surprise....

🎨 So Much Creativity in Art Class Today! ✨
3rd grade artists had so much fun exploring free-form line drawings! Using a black permanent marker and a button, students moved around the paper, allowing their lines to twist, turn, and travel across the entire page. Then, they used their creativity to fill all the white spaces with unique patterns and designs. 🖊️🎨
Every creation was different, and the results were amazing!
Creativity and lots of smiles—what a great day in art at CFP.

🎨 Larry the Line Visits 1st Grade Art! ✏️
Larry the Line stopped by 1st Grade art classes today for a fun-filled lesson all about lines!
Our young artists practiced tracing and identifying horizontal lines, vertical lines, and diagonal lines—or, as Larry likes to call them, “Leaning Larry!” 😊
Learning through creativity, movement, and hands-on fun makes every lesson memorable. What a wonderful day in art class! 🎨❤️

For 26-27 PLTW Medical Detectives, Engineering Essentials and Aerospace Engineering Facebook upload:
CFP innovators hit the new school year running (or flying, as the case may be), as our first week was full of hands-on projects, applied research and original student-centered creations!
In high school Engineering Essentials, our engineering team members were introduced to and practiced Computer Aided Design (CAD), 3D printers, fundamental robotics, and the engineering design process. In preparation for our school's Haunted Forest at the end of October, our young engineers are daily experiencing how the PLTW engineering skills can be applied to a cooperative project which directly affects our local community.
In high school Aerospace Engineering, our young aviators apply previous understanding of the engineering design process and an introduction to flight physics (4 forces/aircraft control surfaces) to the original design, build and test of a balsa wood glider. After first free builds, our engineers then utilize specific aerospace design software (Aery32) to virtually plan and test a more efficient version of their previous iteration. In addition, students complete weekly flight logs of their missions while using our in class flight simulator. We're taking off in style!
In middle school Medical Detectives, our medical professionals researched and measured vital signs, investigated case specific clues to solve an outbreak and began research for a movie trailer project that highlighted a medical career of personal interest to them.
All in all, it has been an amazing start to the PLTW STEAM year, and, to quote another Doctor..... "Oh, the places we will go...."

🌸 What a wonderful first day in Ms. Eliana’s class! 🌸
Our first day was such a special day filled with smiles, laughter, and new beginnings! It was lovely to welcome so many new faces and, of course, see our returning friends again. 💕 Our little learners had a wonderful time getting to know their classmates, reconnecting with old friends, and meeting their teachers. We are so excited for all the beautiful learning, friendships, and memories we will create together this year! 🌈✨
