It’s Friday, which means it’s time for a little ELC IN ACTION! 🎬💙

This morning, our kiddos got outside to move their bodies, enjoy some fresh air, explore, laugh, and simply PLAY!

At Eastside Learning Center, we understand that play is an important part of childhood. Outdoor time gives our children opportunities to practice gross-motor skills, build confidence, interact with their friends, use their imaginations, and get some of that wonderful energy out. 😂💪🏾

We believe in structure, but structure doesn’t mean children sit at a table all day. There is a time to learn, a time to create, a time to rest, and absolutely a time to run, play, explore, and have FUN!

These are the little moments that make our days at ELC special. 💙

💙 PARENT TALK THURSDAY
When Things Change, Children Need Us to Pivot Too.

Change can be exciting for adults—but even good change can feel big for children.

With our recent transition into our new home at Eastside Learning Center, we’ve been reminded that when a child’s environment changes, sometimes we need to change our approach too. 🌱

Children may become more emotional, clingy, resistant, or simply seem “off.” They may not have the words to say, “I’m having a hard time adjusting.”

That’s where we have to be willing to pivot. 💙

Pivoting doesn’t mean removing expectations. Children still need boundaries and structure, especially during seasons of change. But they may also need extra patience, reassurance, preparation, consistency, and connection.

Ask yourself:

“Is this child giving me a hard time—or having a hard time?”

That question helps us respond thoughtfully while continuing to teach.

Sometimes good parenting and teaching means adjusting the plan while keeping the goal the same. 🌱

So this week, give your child structure and grace. Keep showing up consistently—but leave room to pivot. 💙

Last Thursday, we said goodbye to an incredible chapter as Beloved Jewels Childcare.

Today, I get to officially say…

🎉 WELCOME TO EASTSIDE LEARNING CENTER! 🎉

The doors are open. The classrooms are ready. Our children are here. And the vision we have worked, prayed, prepared, and planned for is officially in motion. 🥹💙

Eastside Learning Center represents growth—but it also represents our continued commitment to providing children with the love, structure, education, consistency, and sense of belonging they need to thrive.

While our space has grown, the heart behind what we do has not changed.

At Eastside, we believe children deserve more than a place to spend their day. They deserve an environment where they are known, loved, taught, encouraged, and given the structure to grow.

💎 PARENT TALK THURSDAY: SAME HEART. GREATER VISION. NEW CHAPTER. 💙

Today’s Parent Talk Thursday is a little different because this will officially be our last Parent Talk Thursday as Beloved Jewels Childcare. 🥹

Beloved Jewels has been so much more than a childcare business. It has been a place where children have grown, families have trusted us, relationships have been built, lessons have been learned, and a vision has continued to develop.

But sometimes growth requires us to make room for what’s next.

And now… Beloved Jewels Childcare is growing into Eastside Learning Center. 💙

The name is changing.
The location is changing.
The capacity is growing.
The vision is expanding.

But the heart behind what we do remains the same.

We will continue creating an environment where children are loved, challenged, nurtured, taught, and given the structure they need to thrive.
