There are some people who don’t just lead a school—they become part of its heart. 💙

Since 2007, Sandra has been part of the Kids ‘R’ Kids family, pouring her heart into the children, families, and team she serves. And if you’ve ever walked through our lobby, you’ve probably seen moments just like this one—a warm hug, a big smile, and a child who knows they are loved.

Sandra truly believes that what we do matters, but HOW we do it matters even more.

She leads with heart. She loves our children fiercely. She supports her team, celebrates their successes, and shows up every day with the belief that the little moments are actually the BIG moments.

Because for Sandra, this isn’t just a job. It’s a calling. It’s relationships. It’s making children feel safe, valued, known, and loved.

This week is a BIG week for our VPK students!

Our students will have the opportunity to officially sign their commitment to the Kindness Crew and make a promise to spread kindness wherever they go.

As they become part of the Kindness Crew, our VPK students are committing to:
🤝 Be kind and caring to their classmates
💙 Help make their classroom a welcoming place
🌟 Show kindness throughout our school
🌎 Make a positive difference in their community
🫶 Use their words and actions to lift others up

This special signing is more than just putting their name on a paper—it’s about teaching our children that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a BIG difference.

🤗 HUG FIRST, THEN TEACH. 💙💛

At Kids ‘R’ Kids, we believe connection comes before correction. Sometimes, “hug first” doesn’t literally mean a hug—it means meeting a child where they are and letting them know, “I see you. I’m here for you.”

That might look like:
🙌 A high-five after a tough moment
👊 A fist bump for encouragement
💪 A gentle fist-to-fist “you’ve got this!”
😊 Getting down on their level and making eye contact
🫶 A hand to hold
👏 Celebrating their effort with a big round of applause
❤️ A warm smile and a reassuring voice
👋 A simple “I’m glad you’re here.”

Connection creates the foundation for learning. When children feel safe, seen, valued, and supported, they’re more ready to listen, learn, problem-solve, and try again.

This week, we’re learning all about our bodies and what makes each of us unique and special! 💕 We talked about how we can love and appreciate ourselves just the way we are, while celebrating the differences that make each person wonderfully unique.

Suite 500 created a puzzle of themselves! Each piece represents a part of who they are—and when all the pieces come together, they make something completely one of a kind! 💛
