Today we celebrated our retirees during our morning staff meeting! 🎉

Congratulations to Ms. Grace, Ms. Killen, and Ms. Smith! Their dedication, compassion, and commitment have made a lasting impact on Laurel Park Elementary, and we are grateful for the countless ways they have helped our school grow and thrive over the years.

We wish them all the best as they begin this exciting new chapter of retirement; you have certainly earned it! 💙🐧

We started the day by clapping out our Track 1 5th graders!

It’s 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony day for Track 1! It had me reminiscing about my 5th grade year in Ms. Parker’s class at Durant Rd. Elementary in Raleigh. Here I am getting ready to go on an overnight field trip. 😜

Our sweet Track 1 5th-graders' last day of elementary school is Tuesday. Their families are invited to a Moving Up Ceremony on Tuesday, June 2, at 11 am in celebration! 🐧

What an afternoon welcoming back former Laurel Park students who are graduating from high school this year! Congrats Class of 2026!!

Tomorrow, we are excited to celebrate former LPES students graduating from high school at 2:30 pm while also welcoming our newest penguins during Rising Kindergarten Orientation at 6 pm! 🐧🎓

Congrats to Natalie Sayag, our 25-26 Teacher of the Year, who was celebrated at the WCPSS TOY banquet!

Everything is set for TONIGHT’S Art & Music Showcase! The event begins at 6 pm. 🎨🎶
