☀️ We're Heading Into Our Final Week of Kickin' Summer Camp! 🥋🎉

What a Kickin' Summer it's been at Progressive Taekwondo Academy! From swimming and hiking to movies, museums, beach days, STEM activities, martial arts, and making new friends, our campers have had an unforgettable summer filled with fun, adventure, laughter, and lasting memories.

As we look back at some of our favorite moments, we're also getting excited for our final week of summer camp—August 10th–14th!

🏛️ Museum Week is packed with adventure as we explore some of the area's best museums, enjoy hands-on activities, continue our martial arts training, play games, and wrap up the summer with one more incredible week together.

Summer Update: Progressive Warriors Showcase Their Talents on the National Stage

What a way to wrap up the competition season!

Congratulations to Alex Gao, Aarya Suthar, Cole Pittman, Micah Swope, Master Francisco Dolz, and Solomon Oden for representing Progressive Taekwondo Academy at the 2026 USA Taekwondo National Championships.

Leading the way was Master Francisco Dolz, who captured a National Championship in Sparring and earned a Bronze Medal in Poomsae. What an incredible performance!

A special congratulations to Alex Gao, who made his Sport Taekwondo National Championship debut and brought home a Bronze Medal in Sparring.

Aarya Suthar, Micah Swope, and Solomon Oden all battled their way to the quarterfinals, competing against some of the best athletes in the country. While the medals didn't come this time, their determination, growth, and willingness to step onto the national stage are accomplishments to be proud of.

As Nationals closes out our competition season, I'm incredibly proud of every Progressive Warrior who chose to test themselves this year. Whether you competed locally or on the national stage, you stepped into the arena, faced challenges head-on, and grew because of it. Several of our athletes trained through injuries and adversity just for the opportunity to compete. That resilience says everything about who they are.

This post may be a little late, but I wanted to wait until I had the chance to ask each athlete one question:

"Are you coming back?"

Every single one of them had the same answer.

They have unfinished business.

The future is bright!

Summer Update: Progressive Warriors Showcase Their Talents on the National Stage

Day 1 is in the books, and Progressive Taekwondo Academy is already bringing home hardware!

🥉 Congratulations to Master Francisco Dolz on earning the Bronze Medal in the Traditional Forms division! What an outstanding way to kick off the championships!

Today it's time for Alex Gao and Micah Swope to step onto the national stage for their first-ever USA Taekwondo National Championships in sparring.
