Happiness is a choice.

It's not something that happens to us, it's something we make happen—and it starts with a healthy lifestyle.

We can't always control what happens in our lives, but we can control how we react and respond to it. And that's where being happy comes into play.

So how do we get there? It all starts with having a healthy lifestyle. If you're not eating right and exercising, it's going to be hard for you to feel good about yourself and your situation, so start with that first step!

Once you've got your diet on track and are regularly exercising, start looking forward to things in life that make you happy. Whether it's watching your favorite TV show or reading a book on the beach, take time each day to enjoy yourself!

And finally, be grateful for what you have in life. Even if it seems like nothing is going right right now, there are still things in life that make it worth living every day—so embrace them!

Throw away your negative thoughts.

It's okay to have them, but don't let them stick around for too long.

One way to get rid of a negative thought is to think of 3 things you like about yourself, then write down their answers. After that, write down 3 things you do well and what makes you happy about them. Then go back and read over both lists and see if any of the answers overlap. If they do, then you can look at the positive side of the overlap and find something positive in both lists!

If you want to be healthy, your mind has to be healthy too.

Here are a few rules I live by:

1. Get plenty of mental exercise. Try new things, learn new skills, and challenge yourself in new ways.

2. Don't forget physical exercise! It's so important for your body and your mind.

3. Challenge your brain with puzzles and games like Sudoku or suduko, word searches (like crossword puzzles), or even just reading a book!

4. Eat healthily—it's not just about what you put into your body, but also about the energy you put into it! If you're not eating well, you won't have the energy to work out or do anything else!

5. Reduce stress by taking time for yourself and practicing mindfulness techniques like meditation or yoga that will help you relax and feel better overall!

Constant change is the only constant in life.

We're constantly evolving, and that means our bodies do too. Our muscles grow stronger when we lift weights, but they also get weaker when we don't. Our skin gets used to the sun and starts to burn if we spend too much time outside without sunscreen. Even our minds are in a constant state of flux: our memories fade over time, and new ones take their place.

So how do we stay "constant" when everything around us is changing? It's not about being stagnant—it's about choosing what stays constant for YOU, and then making those choices as permanent as possible.

Making healthy meals while you're on a tight schedule doesn't have to end up as a bland, unappetizing foods.

To make your life easier, buy ingredients that could last for at least a week and search for a healthy, easy recipe on the internet.

Make sure to include fruits and vegetables in your meal plan. They are rich in vitamins and minerals as well as fiber content that helps keep you full longer.

How to Quiet Your Mind

Whether you're stuck in traffic, at the office, or just trying to get your life together, it's easy to feel like your mind is spinning out of control. And if that happens, it can be hard to get back on track.

But there are some simple things you can do anytime and anywhere to help quiet your mind and get back on track:

Get into a good position: Make sure your body is aligned so that you're not slouching or leaning forward. Sit up straight with your shoulders back and relaxed. This will help keep your brain balanced, too!

Get in touch with your breathing: Get comfortable on whatever surface you're sitting on (or standing), close your eyes, and focus on your breath coming in and going out through your nostrils. Inhale through the nose for four counts, hold for two counts, then exhale through the mouth for six counts. Repeat this pattern until you feel more relaxed!

Detach from your thoughts: As soon as you notice yourself thinking about something else, gently bring yourself back to the breath pattern we just discussed above!

Practice these three steps every day and before long you'll find yourself feeling calmer than ever before.

Have you ever noticed that your energy levels change throughout the day? You might be full of energy in the morning after a good night's sleep, but then by lunchtime you're dragging. Or maybe at 2:30 in the afternoon, when you're busy and focused on work, you feel like you could do anything.

We'll let you in on a secret: your energy level is directly tied to how well your body works. The more efficient your body is, the higher your energy level will be. And that's a really good thing! Your body is constantly working to keep things running smoothly and efficiently. And what happens when it doesn't? That's right—you start feeling sluggish and tired.

But don't worry—there's something super simple we can do about this! All it takes is one small change in how we eat, sleep and exercise every day. By making these changes consistently over time, we can make our bodies run more efficiently (and therefore increase our energy levels).

Here are five things that can help:

1) Explore your creativity—whether it's through writing, drawing, or any other activity that helps you feel like yourself again.

2) Take time to laugh—you'd be surprised how much laughing at the right thing can help!

3) Track your gratitude—there are so many things all around us that we take for granted every day—things like water, food, and shelter. Write down three things every day that you're grateful for and see how much better you feel.

4) Practice forgiveness—forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting what happened or letting someone off the hook for their actions; rather, it means giving yourself permission to move forward in life without holding onto resentment towards someone else. Think of it as an "emotional cleanse" so you can start fresh!

If all else fails, take a break from social media.
