Help keep our students safe! ❤️🤍💙

The 2026-2027 school year starts tomorrow, August 11, 2026, and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office will be out in full force to ensure drivers exercise caution on our roads! 🚸🚌

Deputies will be monitoring school buses along their designated routes to help keep students safe and drivers aware that school has started back up.

We will be monitoring:
❌ Speeding in school zones
❌ Children not wearing seat belts or in a proper car seat
❌ Illegally passing stopped school buses
❌ Distracted driving

We hope everyone has a safe and fun school year! 🍎✏️

🎉 We’re Ready for the First Day of School! 🎉

We can’t wait to welcome our students back to ABC School and see all those smiling faces!

A few reminders as we kick off the new school year:

🚗 Please follow the Arrival & Dismissal Procedures listed below to help keep drop-off and pick-up safe and running smoothly.

🖍 On the first day of school, PreK and Kindergarten parents/guardians may walk their child to the classroom.

🪪 Don’t forget your ID! Remember to bring your driver’s license or other valid photo ID when checking in at the school.

🦅 We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during bus and car arrival and dismissal, especially as we settle into our routines during the first few days.

We’re excited for a great first day and a wonderful 2026–27 school year! ❤🤍💙

This year’s FCSO backpacks are here and the theme is 🥁🥁🥁 … camo!

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office annual Backpack Drive will be on Wednesday, August 5 from 4-6 PM at the following locations around the county:

📍The Matchbox – Apalachicola
📍Vrooman Park – Eastpoint
📍Carrabelle Library – Carrabelle

Our camo backpacks will be filled with school supplies ready to set kids up for success this school year. So be sure to come out, see your friends at FCSO, and grab a backpack! 🎒

📢 **Friendly Reminder!**

All students entering **Kindergarten** and **7th** grade must have their required **immunizations** completed before the **first* day of school, and the school must have a copy of their updated immunization records on file.

🩺 **Kindergarten** students must also have a current **school physical** on file.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back at **Orientation** on Thursday, August 6, from 1:00–3:00 PM! ❤️🤍💙
