The Apache Junction Unified School District serves over 3,000 students in a 217-square mile area that includes the City of Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, Peralta Trail, Queen Valley and the unincorporated areas of the Superstition Mountain foothills. We’re proud to serve the families of AJUSD at the gateway to the
Superstition Mountains. Since 1952, our district has provided a strong foundation for students—rooted in tradition, powered by innovation, and driven by our shared mission: “Small District, Big Heart, Endless Possibilities.”

- Dual Language Immersion – Building bilingual fluency from kindergarten on
- The Classical Academy at Superstition Mountain – A timeless K-5 education model with a tech-forward edge
- Desert Vista Elementary Leadership Progream – Cultivating tomorrow’s leaders with purpose and pride
- Early College / Dual Enrollment – Earning college credit in high school
- Career & Technical Education (CTE) – Industry certifications, job readiness, and hands-on learning
- Fine Arts, Athletics, and Enrichment – Creativity, teamwork, and self-expression across every grade

Last night, the seniors of Apache Junction High School walked the stage and officially graduated! 🎓
We heard such inspiring speeches from our students and city leaders, along with incredible and heartfelt performances from band and choir.
Watching this class reach such an important milestone was truly special, and we couldn't be prouder of all they have and will accomplish. Congratulations, Class of 2026! 🎉💛

A huge thank you to Jeff Struble of Rhino Recreation for generously donating $3,000 to the AVID Program at Cactus Canyon Jr. High!
The donation was recognized during this week's AJUSD Governing Board meeting, and we are so grateful for community partners like Rhino Recreation who continue to invest in the success of our students and schools!

Our incredible students in the Rhino Recreation Building America Club donated $552 to AJ Animal Control. 🎉
They were recognized at this week’s AJUSD Governing Board meeting for their hard work, generosity, and dedication to making a positive impact in our community. They raised these funds through a lemonade stand, donating every dollar of their proceeds to support the cause.
We are so proud of their initiative, teamwork, and commitment to giving back!

These students were recognized and honored at this week’s AJUSD Governing Board meeting for their hard work and achievement. The exam consists of 100 questions and is one of several industry certifications students can earn through the program. We are very proud of their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to preparing for future career success!

Yesterday evening, Desert Vista Elementary celebrated their 5th graders with a fun-filled party to honor their final day on campus! 💙🎉
Students and families enjoyed delicious treats, played fun games, signed yearbooks, and spent time making lasting memories together. Their evening ended as they took one final walk through campus as staff and students lined the halls to cheer them on!
