Soren here --- Looks like our friend and classmate Darryn Bodak passed away on 12/5/2024. I believe he had a stroke ealier that week and just never recovered. I don't have many details, but my heart and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

I personally have many memories of Darryn back in Jr. High and High school playing basketball.

Looks like another one of our beloved teachers at AJHS has left us. I just found out Mr. Swanson passed away. I don't have any details, but I know he was loved by many of you and was a great historian of AJ. As we count the years we are beginning to loose more and more of our teachers and classmates. It saddens me. Much love to all and give a friend a call and let them know you appreciate them.

92 Alumni…. Friday September 8th is home coming…if any one wants to get together we’re gonna meet at Los Gringos Locos in AJ around 4pm then go to the home coming game afterwards (starts at 7pm). Hope to see you there!!! 😀

Received word yesterday that we lost another classmate -- Class of 1990 "Nacho" Meyer passed away on 2/22/2023. He wasn't in OUR class, but many of us knew Nacho. He was a cool guy and will be missed by many. Condolences to those that knew and loved him.

I just received word that Ms. Gina Karloff passed away yesterday. I personally never had her as a teacher, but she always hung out with Math Club and she was a class act that lady. I'm sad to see yet another person from my high school days leave this world for the next. She will be dearly missed I'm sure.

It appears that Mr. Dennis Leake passed away on 2/9/2021 of Brain Cancer.

such sad news, I was just thinking about him a few days ago.

Dennis Leake was a very interesting fellow - I had him for Advanced English back during my Sophomore year (89-90). He had us do my favorite project of my entire high school career - we broke the class into 2 groups and produced our own videos - to teach us about video production. Not sure exactly how that fell into "English" but I didn't care, I loved it.

When I returned to the district in 2008, Mr. Leake was still there (one of the FEW from my days as a student). I got to talk to him and help him out with computer issues many times over the next 7-8 years before he retired. I recall, he always had a bag of "SMARTIES" candies in his desk.

It appears that we have lost yet another classmate.... Jason Harty. I believe he passed from complications of Covid. I knew Jason for many years... even going back to elementary school.

So sad. My heart grieves for family and loved ones. Rest in Peace my old friend, rest in peace...

Taken back in 6th grade - which may have been the last class I actually had with Jason Harty. Always considered him a friend and a very all around good guy.
