White supremacy is harmful and destructive for several fundamental reasons:

Denial of Human Dignity and Equality: It is built on the premise that certain human beings are inherently superior or inferior based on race. This violates the core principle of universal human rights and equality, reducing people's worth to arbitrary physical characteristics.

Violence, Oppression, and Marginalization: Historically and currently, white supremacy has been the ideological foundation for severe human rights abuses, including chattel slavery, colonialism, genocide, segregation, and systemic disenfranchisement. It continues to fuel targeted harassment, hate crimes, and physical violence against minority communities.

Systemic Inequity: It embeds racial hierarchies into societal institutions—such as legal systems, housing, education, and healthcare—creating persistent barriers to economic mobility, justice, and well-being for marginalized groups.

Social Division: By fostering an "us versus them" mentality, it creates deep societal fractures, erodes social cohesion, and prevents communities from building inclusive, cooperative futures.
