Tomorrow is the ice cream social! Come out and enjoy!

Pushmataha County 4-H is ready to kick off the new school year and encourage youth to get involved with 4-H! There are many great opportunities to get involved with 4-H so come out to our ice cream social on Wednesday, August 26th and learn more! Pushmataha County Youth will have the opportunity to meet their new leadership team, enroll in 4-H for the upcoming year and enjoy some good cold ice cream with friends! The ice cream social event for Pushmataha County 4-H will be held at the Pushmataha County Fairgrounds from 5-7pm on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Please call your local Extension Office for more information or if you have any questions.

📌 Save the Date: Oklahoma 4-H Health and Wellness Discovery Day

Mark your calendars for a day of discovery focused on health, wellness and career opportunities. During this event, you can tour the OSU Center for Health Sciences medical school, participate in hands-on learning experiences, explore health-related careers and showcase your own health project. More information and registration details will be available in September.

📚🌾 Calling All Local Schools! 🌾📚

Choctaw and Pushmataha County OSU Extension Agriculture, in partnership with the Oklahoma Cattlewomen, invite all elementary schools in Choctaw and Pushmataha Counties to participate in Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom’s Read an Accurate Ag Book Week, September 8–11, 2026!

This is a fun opportunity for students to learn more about agriculture, where their food comes from, and the important role agriculture plays in our communities.

👩‍🏫 Elementary teachers and schools: We would love for you to participate!

💤 ZZZ's Under the Seas 🦈

Ever dreamed of sleeping with sharks? Now’s your chance! Join Oklahoma 4-H for an overnight adventure at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks on Sept. 11-12 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Explore thousands of sea creatures, walk through a tunnel surrounded by the largest bull sharks in captivity and find a place to sleep among the aquatic life. 🐠🐙

Registration is limited to the first 150 participants, and the cost is $50. Youth must be accompanied by a chaperone age 21 or older.
