Annual Staff vs. 5th Grade Dodgeball Showdown!

One of our favorite end-of-year traditions took place this week as staff members from across campus teamed up to take on our amazing 5th graders in the annual Staff vs. 5th Grade Dodgeball Tournament!

Each 5th grade class faced off against the staff team twice before everyone came together for one giant, action-packed game of Staff vs. All 5th Graders. The blacktop was filled with cheers, laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of dodgeball excitement!

This year, the staff managed to hold onto bragging rights with a 5–2 victory, but our 5th graders gave them a run for their money and showed incredible teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination.

This event has become a beloved tradition and is one that both our competitive students and staff eagerly anticipate each year. It’s a fun way to celebrate our 5th graders, make lasting memories, and close out their elementary school journey together.

Thank you to everyone who participated, cheered from the sidelines, and helped make this event such a success. Good luck to our 5th graders as they prepare for their next adventure, Middle School! We’ll be rooting for you! 💙💛

This afternoon, we had the pleasure of celebrating our incredible volunteers at our Annual Volunteer Tea! ☕💙

Family members and community volunteers were honored with lunch, certificates, handmade class posters, and a small token of appreciation to thank them for the countless ways they support our students and school community.

Our volunteers give their time, energy, and hearts to help make our school a special place, and we are so grateful for everything they do. This celebration is just a small way for us to say THANK YOU for the difference you make each and every day.

We appreciate our amazing volunteers and the strong partnership between our school, families, and community!

🎉 The Sutter staff has been having some fun with our underground Spirit Days this week! 🎉

So far we’ve celebrated:
🌈 Monochromatic Day — staff dressed head-to-toe in one color
👯 Twin Day — double the fun with matching coworkers
🥤 Anything But a Cup Day — lots of creativity and laughs!

Due to the rainy weather, today’s Field Day activities will be rescheduled. Thank you so much to all of the families who volunteered to help — we truly appreciate your support and hope you will still be able to join us on the rescheduled date.

Please note that our fifth-grade field trip to the park this afternoon will still take place as planned, as the rain is expected to clear by then.

Last week the pm TK class had a VERY special visitor at school… a family pet tortoise! 🐢💚

Students were so excited to learn about tortoises up close. There were lots of curious questions, big smiles, and a few students who now apparently want a tortoise of their own. 😄

Thank you to our wonderful family for sharing this unique learning experience with our students and helping bring science to life in such a memorable way!
