Good evening Kimball families! Tuesday is picture day. You should have received an email from Lifetouch with information on ordering pictures. If you did not receive an email, please check your parent portal account to make sure your email address is correct. While you’re in the parent portal, make sure your phone number and your emergency contacts are up to date as well.

Parent-teacher conferences are September 21st through 25th. Students in Kinder through 5th grades will be dismissed at 11:40. Teachers will communicate with parents about conference times. Please make every effort to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss your child’s progress.

And finally, thank you to everyone who returned a School Site Council ballot. The results are in. Congratulations to Tiffany Abellera, Monica Mariscal, and Michelle Price our elected School Site Council representatives.

Kimball sunday Evening Message
Good evening families. There is no school tomorrow in celebration of Labor Day. Take a moment tomorrow to spend some time with your child reading a book, going on a walk, or simply talking. Every moment matters!

School Site Council ballots went home last week. Please take a moment to complete the ballot and return it to school. You can turn it into the office or send it to school with your child. Ballots are due Thursday.

Friday, at 8:15am, is our first English Language Advisory Committee, or ELAC, meeting. If you are the parent of an English Learner student, please consider attending this important meeting.

And finally, a few important dates to mark on your calendar. Picture day is September 15th, parent-teacher conferences are September 21st through September 25th, and fall break is September 28th through October 5th.

We look forward to seeing your child Tuesday morning. Students can be dropped off as early as 7:30 to get a free breakfast. Please have your child at school by our first bell at 7:55.

🌟 Perfect Attendance Celebration! 🌟

Friday, we celebrated our August Perfect Attendance students! 🎉👏

TK–3rd graders enjoyed lunch on the stage with our principal, vice principal, and counselor, along with a special treat. ❤️

Our 4th and 5th graders celebrated with a Perfect Attendance Raffle! 🎟️ Several students from each class were selected to participate. One lucky winner took home a 🛴 scooter, while the others spun the 🎡 prize wheel!

We changed up the celebration this year based on what our 4th and 5th graders told us they wanted—and they chose a raffle! (Last year, they preferred eating with their friends…totally understandable! 😁)

We missed a few students in Friday’s pictures, but we’ll add them Tuesday! 📸

Congratulations to all of our August Perfect Attendance students! We are so proud of you! 💙

Our first English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) meeting of the school year is coming up on September 11!

ELAC is an important opportunity for families of students who are learning English to be involved in the decisions that impact their children. Families can learn about our English learner programs and supports, ask questions, share ideas, and help provide input on school and district decisions.

Your perspective matters! You are an important part of our school community, and we want to hear from you.
