🔧 Fender '94 Twin Amp Service Update

Not every repair is obvious.

This Fender '94 Twin Amp came in with persistent hiss and hum that remained even with the volume controls turned down. Through signal-path isolation and troubleshooting, the issue was traced to the preamp and reverb recovery section.

The repair included:
• Reverb recovery noise update
• Negative feedback circuit repair
• Power Amp In jack replacement
• Testing and verification

The result is a much quieter amplifier with fully restored reverb and strong overall performance.

Sometimes the challenge isn't replacing parts—it's finding the real source of the problem.

First look at **Prometheus I**.

This is the first working prototype for the ReimerTone Prometheus platform — an American/British rock-inspired amplifier built around high-power response, touch sensitivity, harmonic bite, and the kind of interaction that makes an amp feel like part of the instrument.

The amp is currently installed in a temporary large head cabinet so I can begin demoing it, testing it with other artists, and capturing sound clips. The final Prometheus visual package is already in progress: custom Wine Burgundy Whip covering, Black Matrix grille front, aged brass accents, ReimerTone badge, and a smoked antique-brass control panel.

This build has been a long process of simplifying, refining, and demystifying a legendary style of amplifier — keeping the classic fire intact while adding modern reliability, grounding, protection, and usability updates.

The black cabinet shown here is temporary for testing and demo work. Final cabinet and sound clips are coming soon.

For now: **Prometheus I is alive.**

🎸 Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III – Repair + Tone Work

This one came in with multiple issues:

* Channel switching problems
* Reverb instability
* Poor volume control
* Intermittent noise

Ended up being a deeper repair than expected—PCB damage, power supply issues, and a few failing components.

Got everything rebuilt and stable, and made a few small adjustments along the way to improve how the amp responds:

* Smoother, more usable volume
* Tighter low end
* More controlled drive channel
* Better overall feel

Now it’s clean, stable, and ready to play.

These are great amps when they’re working right—but a lot of them develop issues over time.

🎸 Fender Bassman 50 (1972) Restoration

Picked this amp up in rough shape—unsafe to power on, severe hum, failing components throughout.

Went through a full restoration:

* Rebuilt the power supply
* Replaced failing capacitors and resistors
* Installed proper grounded power
* Restored stability while keeping the original character intact

Now it’s running strong with clean headroom, low noise, and everything working as it should.

I enjoy this kind of work—bringing older amps back to life and making them usable again.
