🎸 Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III – Repair + Tone Work

This one came in with multiple issues:

* Channel switching problems
* Reverb instability
* Poor volume control
* Intermittent noise

Ended up being a deeper repair than expected—PCB damage, power supply issues, and a few failing components.

Got everything rebuilt and stable, and made a few small adjustments along the way to improve how the amp responds:

* Smoother, more usable volume
* Tighter low end
* More controlled drive channel
* Better overall feel

Now it’s clean, stable, and ready to play.

These are great amps when they’re working right—but a lot of them develop issues over time.

🎸 Fender Bassman 50 (1972) Restoration

Picked this amp up in rough shape—unsafe to power on, severe hum, failing components throughout.

Went through a full restoration:

* Rebuilt the power supply
* Replaced failing capacitors and resistors
* Installed proper grounded power
* Restored stability while keeping the original character intact

Now it’s running strong with clean headroom, low noise, and everything working as it should.

I enjoy this kind of work—bringing older amps back to life and making them usable again.
