In addition, students with good behavior (no more than 200 level referral) throughout the quarter will get to participate in our Fall Frenzy on Thursday during Related Arts time and the Haunted Pep Rally during last period.

Special Attendance Incentive
We want to encourage all students to attend school every day this week. Students who attend school every day from October 5th-8th will receive a special incentive on Thursday, October 8th. Please help us support your child's academic success by ensuring they arrive at school on time and are present each day.

Wednesday Night Lights
Join us as the Apollo Astros Football team takes on Richard H Dinkins Middle at Apollo on October 7th. At this game we will celebrate our 8th grade athletes. The game will begin at 5pm and the cost of admission is $6 if paying with cash.

Hispanic Heritage Family Night
Our Family Night will be on Thursday, October 8th from 5pm to 7pm. Families and students are invited to celebrate by joining us for the event or participating by bringing a cultural dish, hosting a table, sharing an activity, or showcasing a tradition. Interested in participating?

A HUGE Astro Congratulations to our Support Staff Member of the Year, Ms. Herbert, and our Teacher of the Year, Mr. Davis! We are so proud of both of you. Ms. Herbert works in our front office, is the QUEEN of the poster-maker, is our cheer coach and genuinely ALWAYS has a smile on her face. Mr. Davis is an OG Astro who has been teaching for 28 years, 25 of which have been here at Apollo. His band has earned MANY accolades over the years, but especially DOUBLE superiors at MTSBOA competition last year. He regularly drives our activity bus for all kinds of school events, is a MASTER of all musical instruments, and works sooo seamlessly with our feeder elementary schools and Antioch high school too! We couldn’t be prouder of these two Astros, who truly do represent the best of us and had some TOUGH competition on the ballot this year.
