Virtual Drawing/Painting the Portrait and Figure
Tuesdays 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
9/17/24 – 11/19/24 (10 Sessions)

Concentrated work on depicting the portrait and figure in 2 dimensional media. We will study the underlying structures, practice measuring/blocking-in methods and learn color strategies. Possible media include charcoal, graphite, pastel, watercolor, acrylic and oil. We will be working with videos of some of our favorite models!

Art Critique Happy Hour
Wednesdays, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. (to 8 p.m. if we have more than 6 enrolled)

An enjoyable evening of shared critique and advise with other artists, wine optional. (Must be able to share digital art photos, instructions available)

Drawing and Painting with Pastels

Mondays 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 pm

Paint and draw with the beautifully expressive medium of soft (chalk) pastel! Capture the color and light of the world around us, learning the basics of picture making as well as more advanced techniques and tips. We will be working with still life, interiors and landscape: There will be a demonstration each week, with time for questions and individual advice. Discussion topics include materials, techniques, composition, and use of color. Beginners and experienced are all welcome to join us!
