Think about your GPS system on your phone. When you type in a destination, it automatically asks or calibrates to identify where you are.

You cannot make it to your destination if you do not know where you are.

So hear me. If you want to feel better, or do better, or just want something more than what you currently have, the best way to get there is to be open and honest with yourself...(and might I add a coach) about where you are right now!

Accept where you are. Make peace with it. Once you do it will be much more doable to get where you want to go.

I can help you accept and make peace with where you are now. And I can help you get out of your own way so you can get where you want to go.

I was coaching a client today on her self confidence. Towards the end she asked me
" So you tell me, how do I love me?"

I could have answered. I could send her a list of ideas. But do you know what is even better?

Answering and finding that out for herself...and yourself.

Be willing to explore. How can you love you? In what ways can you show yourself some love?

Think about it. Then do it!

Why does it matter? Because your feelings drive your actions. When you feel love for yourself you will show up in a whole new way. Try self love on. It's kind of an amazing gift to give yourself.

How's your closet doing??

So a few weeks ago I decided to brave a couple of my cluttered and disorganized closets. I literally took everything out, threw away a lot of stuff, decided what I wanted to keep, and found a place for all the things.

So often I use this analogy with my clients. Taking courage and signing up to work with a coach or therapist or counselor is like cleaning your closets.

We don't want anyone to know just how cluttered, dark, disorganized and messy they are. We keep opening them up and throwing more junk in there.

But here's the thing. You cannot clean your closet and make it better if you never open the door and turn the light on. No matter how good you get at ignoring it, it will never go away.

We are the same my friends. In order to think higher thoughts, feel better, change, and achieve what we want, we have to be willing to open up. To show what is hiding in our closet. Shame thrives in the dark, and vanishes in the light.

How is your brain doing?
How is your life going?
How are you thinking??

You deserve to love yourself and your life, all the parts. Even the parts you are not proud of, or even regret, there is a better way to view them.

I can help you clean your closet my friend. In fact I really WANT to help you do it! Are you ready? Is this your time? Are you coming?

Put on believing in yourself, like you put on your shoes.

Think about it. You wear many different shoes. House slippers, work shoes, exercise shoes, recreation shoes, church shoes, etc.

What if no matter where you were going or what you were doing, you carried a strong belief and love for yourself, just like you put shoes on your feet?

You get to decide my friend what shoes to put on your feet. And you pick the shoes that will be best for whatever it is you are doing. You also get to decide what thoughts you want to believe about youeself. Are you picking the thoughts that really serve and work for you?

Even if a thought is true, it does not mean you have to keep thinking it or believing it.

Our feet carry us and allow us to go and do amazing things every single day. The thoughts you choose to think about yourself can also drive you to do amazing things and become the best version of you.

Put it on my friends. Put on your belief of how amazing, worthy, prepared, capable, strong and deserving you are. Your beliefs in yourself will take you places, you get to decide the destination.

It might shock you to hear this at first, but it is true. The circumstances of our lives cannot make us feel any certain way. It is always the way we think about our circumstances that then create our feelings.
