We had a special visit today from the Antioch Police Department Officers with their K-9 unit. Our students really enjoyed being able to learn about these special dogs! Thank you APD!!

We had a visit from the Lindsay Wildlife Experience today! Our students learned about some of the animals native to our area and the different habitats in which they live.
What a fun day we had at our Black Diamond Mines Field Trip!
They escaped......the Escape Room Leadership challenge that is!! Our middle school students did a fantastic job of working together to solve a series of challenges, which all had to do with leadership. Each team was successful, so they "escaped"! Great team work to all of our students!
In our science class today, we learned why leaves change colors in the Fall, what happens to all the leaves once they fall, from the trees, and what causes decomposition. We then made our own "Mold Terrariums" to take home and observe how quickly food can start to decompose if left out on the counter.

"I Don't Want to be a Frog" was the fun story we read for our Primary Share class this week. The students learned about frogs, listened to the story, hopped like frogs, and then made a cute frog art project! Ribbit, Ribbit! πΈ
We had fun last week with a STEM challenge class! Students had to "Save Sam" (a gummy worm). His "boat" had capsized, and students needed to get his life preserver (a gummy lifesaver) on him without using their hands - only the tools provided. They did a great job!
Today was our first Primary Share Class for our students in grades K-2! We had fun creating self-portraits after listening to a cute story called I Like Myself.
The first day of school is this Thursday, August 4th! We look forward to seeing you all at our orientation that day!
