A big Thank you to Mrs White for going above and beyond for my son Kenna today. Kenna had issues with his laptop and couldn’t login into his class , he became sad and started crying. I texted Mrs white and explained what happened, she called Kenna and explained everything they did in the morning to him. I was so grateful. Thank you Mrs White.

Hello There! I hope this finds everyone safe and well. I am hoping that we can all pull together to support the students in our district and our school. As the President of Diablo Vista Elementary PTO and a TK teacher in our district, I am happy to announce that we are making a $5,000.00 donation to the Antioch Unified School District. This donation from the DVE PTO is to be used for tech devices for AUSD students who would not have access to Distance Learning. I am proud to say that this donation is supported by the PTO members and families. As we may all know, this money may still not be enough to give each student access. I am challenging all elementary and secondary PTO/PTA presidents to also make a contribution, using funds that they may have due to fundraising etc during their school year. It is now time to support the students and families in our community. This money will go directly to assist the students in our district. I know that all staff have been working hard to get their distance learning websites created and running. Let us give the students the tools they need to go online and participate. These are unusual times in our school, community and our world. Please join me in supporting our school district with a monetary contribution toward this worthwhile project. Please join us with this challenge! Stay Safe and Stay Healthy.

Thought I'd share.. This week we are doing a daily educational egg hunt for the kids. Today the kinder had a word in each egg and had to build the sentence. The preschooler had to match lower case and upper case letters. Tomorrow will be math addition for kinder and match numbers to dots for preschooler.
I've also made the alphabet with lower case on one end of egg and upper case on other side for some independent practice. On other eggs I did word families. She'll spin the egg around to put each letter with the word family and then read it.

KAREN FULLER: Lone Tree Elementary
Your position and how long at your current school? “I teach 3rd grade at Lone Tree, where I've taught for 17 years.”
If you were a cookie, what kind would it be? “An 0reo … I’m always trying to keep balance in my life.”
What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve done? “I’ve biked down Haleakala volcano in Maui.”
Do you play any instruments? “No but I love music and go to concerts and musicals as often as I can.”
What’s your claim to fame? “Giving back to the community I grew up in. I've been teaching in AUSD for 30 years; it happens to be where I attended school K-12.”
Do you have a secret talent? “I've always been a pretty good speller and LOVE word games of any kind. I was in the Spelling Bee at Sutter Elementary in fourth and fifth grades.”
What do you look for in a friend? “Someone who is sincere, positive and accepts my quirky side. It's a bonus if they love animals!”
Next week is our last week of school 6/6-6/9. We will have minimum days all week. Dismissal times are:
