🐾 AUGS therapy dogs Cash and Whiskers stopped by MKM during the staff’s first week back to share some puppy love! Their wagging tails, furry cuddles, and sweet personalities brought plenty of smiles and made for a truly paw-some welcome back. 🐶💚

🎉 The Hillcrest playground is officially open and the Hurricanes are ready to play! 🌪️🛝

Today, students and staff celebrated the newly renovated playground with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony. After a summer of exciting improvements, including new turf and a sunshade, students finally had the opportunity to run, climb, explore, and enjoy their updated play space!

Here’s to plenty of sunny days, big adventures, and playground memories ahead! 🌞

🎶 A picture-perfect moment from our elementary band instrument fitting night!

Our band directors were hard at work this week helping future musicians explore instruments and discover the perfect fit. One especially meaningful moment was seeing Mr. Bajek guide his own daughter through her very own instrument fitting!

It was wonderful to capture our band directors doing what they do best, and even more special to preserve this full-circle moment for one of our own. 🎼🎵

➕ Math is better when we work together! ✏️📚

Mrs. Newman’s 4th graders at Oakland were putting their problem-solving skills to work as they collaborated to tackle math challenges! Students shared strategies, explained their thinking, and worked together to find solutions.

Great teamwork, great thinking, and great learning happening in 4th grade! 🦅
