We had a blast today! Thank you to all our PTA volunteers who made today an awesome experience for our scholars! Today's event was brought to you by your PTA and we enjoyed every minute of it.

A special thanks to the Sacramento Sheriff's Office of Youth Services for grilling hotdogs and serving ice cream.

We are equally grateful to the Airforce Service men from Beale AFB who were a tremendous help during field day.

While the Zoom option is available, we would like to encourage you to join us in person at the school library. This will be the last meeting of the school year and a great opportunity to meet and greet next year’s executive board. We will have refreshments directly following our meeting.

You may hear from your student(s) that we had a successful Lockdown drill today. Our students and staff are very adept at our emergency procedures. As a friendly reminder, if you hear an alarm or about a potential emergency, please refrain from calling or coming to the school office. As hard as we know that may be, phone calls and foot traffic can hinder emergency procedures. You can always monitor our District Twitter and/or Facebook accounts , as well as, the District’s website drycreekschools.us. In addition, we may send out emergency notifications directly to your e-mail on file. This is a good opportunity for you to update your student's records with any changes. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility in ensuring the safety of our students.

Parents, there are some unsafe practices happening during drop-off and pick-up in the parking lot. Below are safety protocols to remember when coming and going.

Our school is set up for one way traffic - one way in and out in our drop off zones. Please go in the direction of the traffic.

Please park in a space OR drop off/pick up at the red loading curb.

If you need to assist your student to get in or out of the car, use a designated parking space.

Use the crosswalks to cross safely.

Never leave your car at the curb unattended or double parked.

The red curb is for unloading and loading. Please drop and go. No parking or stopping for extended periods of time.

Safety is imperative - please drive slow and without cell phone distractions.

Kindness! Take the extra time to be kind to our staff who are there to ensure the safety of all students. It is our top priority!

Kindergarten Orientation & Meet and Greet

Kindergarten teachers Mrs. Stepper and Mrs. Fielding will be emailing Information on Monday, August 2 which will contain a "virtual" kindergarten orientation and details on their kinder "Meet & Greet".

TEACHER ASSIGNMENT AND SCHEDULES

To maintain student privacy, notification of student class assignments in grades TK-5 will be done via the PowerSchool Parent Portal for the 2021-2022 school year. On July 30, 2021 at 4pm you can log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal to see who their student’s teacher is.

If you are new to Dry Creek, or have never created a PowerSchool account, information and directions on how to create a PowerSchool parent/guardian account will be sent to the email provided in your student’s registration, the morning of July 30, 2021.

This email will include your student’s unique access ID and password. You will receive a separate email for each student you have enrolled in the District. The credentials included in the email should be used to create an account anytime after our PowerSchool portal opens at 4 PM on July 30th.

If you have a returning student and already have a PowerSchool parent/guardian account, you will also receive an email the morning of July 30 with your student’s access ID and password.
