One of the questions we’ve been asked most since announcing our new name is...
“How did you end up with Survival Swim Academy CT?”
The answer is simple. It happened because of all of you.
When the name submission period ended, Kim Willis, Amanda Benedetto Bosco, and Danielle Newell had submitted the winning name:

It was a name that reflected our mission, our passion, and the life-saving skills that have always been at the heart of what we do.
But something else happened during the voting process.
As conversations continued, many of you reached out to share just how important our Connecticut identity has become. You told us that keeping CT connected to our name felt like an important part of who we are and the community we’ve built together over the years.
The more we listened, the more we realized you were right.
That’s how Survival Swim Academy became Survival Swim Academy CT.
It perfectly captures both where we started and where we’re headed.
To Kim, Amanda, and Danielle, thank you for inspiring the name that will carry our mission forward for years to come.
And to every family who submitted ideas, voted in the polls, shared feedback, and believed in this journey...
This name belongs to all of us.
Thank you for helping shape the future of our program. We can’t wait to continue serving Connecticut families for many years to come.
