How does anyone know what is right and wrong when it comes to dating in today’s world? They don’t even call it dating anymore! Dating is a bad word. It’s hooking up or talking or kicking it. You’re supposed to meet a guy and only deal with that guy, no matter how interested or not he is in you, until he decides he doesn’t want anything to do with you. If you gift your time to more than one guy you are apparently a ho but when a guy does it it’s just him being a guy. I’m not only confused, I’m appalled! Who the hell wrote those rules? Better yet, who co-signed them?! Not I, says this girl and I refuse to live by them. I want options too. At 37 years of age I am just now coming to a place where I really like myself and am unapologetic for doing so. I refuse to conform to a set of rules that make absolutely no sense to my current state of mind.
After being committed to someone for more than a decade, I’m so ready to enjoy life without stipulation and restriction, for once. I’m not interested in attaching myself to another member of the male species who may or may not be in the relationship that I am in. I just want to have fun and lots of really good, possibly great, s*x. That sounds so weird coming from my mouth because I’ve never really been that interested in s*x. But in the last 6 months I feel like I am always h***y! I have never experienced pure lust and I am on a mission to do so. I’m not trying to have a million one night stands or any actually. I just want to have an extraordinarily satisfying s*xual experience with one person. Is that too much to ask? Apparently, it is. I don’t want a title attached to it. I don’t want expectation of emotional entanglement put on me. I just want amazing s*x. I don’t see the problem. Isn’t that what men spend decades doing and just lie about their intentions? So why can’t I have the same intention and tell the truth about it?
I’m certain that I know the person I want to begin this s*xual exploratory journey with. This man is s*x walking to me. When I see him I feel slightly light-headed because he’s so potent and magnetic. When he looks at me I feel s*xy...and kinda faint. I have never felt lust for someone like this and I so want to experience where it goes. His body is so damn cut that I stare and blush and daydream. His smile is seductive and his eyes are captivating. When he kisses me I go null and void to whatever is surrounding me. I feel like I’ve been drugged when he touches me, even just a hug. The blood rushes to my head (and my c**t) and I get so hot it's kind of scary. I like the recklessness of it and the exhilaration. His voice is so masculine and s*xy. I have fantasies about his voice. This is new terrain for me and I’m afraid to step away from being a good girl. In this case, though, I am determined to face my fear in the pursuit of multiple or***ms. lol.
I turn 38 soon and I don’t want to still wonder what it feels like to be consumed and gratified by lust. I want to explore things for my pleasure and not just for the purpose of pleasing a man. I want the pleasure so many man have bragged to me about but never even got close to delivering. I want the kind of s*xing that has me calling to set up drive bys on my lunch break. I want to be addicted to someone’s s*x. I have never been and I’m ready to experience that too. I want to act out fantasies and be a little risque, albeit with one partner. I want to feel alive in a way I have never felt before so I am going to spend my time in pursuit of s*xual happiness until I’m interested in the L word again. I don’t see that happening anytime soon, though. I'm ok with that.

Whenever someone asks how I'm doing I usually say I'm tired. I don't really think much of it, it's an automatic response, but a response I no longer want to give. I'm busy. We are all busy but does it have to define us? Define me? I think not. I am a mother of three amazing children, I am involved in a long term relationship, I have real friends and lots of family as well as 2 jobs and I am finally finishing up my bachelor's degree. I can add 10 more things to the list of obligations I have and things that I do. Is that a bad thing? I'm 4 weeks behind on Scandal and HTGAWM, I have 43 new books I haven't looked at on my kindle, and I rarely post on any of my social media accounts. So what? I finally realized that I'm tired because I have relationships that I value and put time into, children whom I enjoy loving and learning and teaching, responsibilities I actually take care of which is why I work. I laugh a lot...LOUDLY. I am passionate and have great thought-provoking, self assessing, deeply personal conversations with people who help to expand my mind and my vision. I have debates that excite me, irritate me, p**s me off and sometimes being me to tears with people who's opinions matter to me. My 13 year old daughter thinks I'm cool. My son adores me and my youngest daughter is my replica. My life is happening with me, not online or in my head. So from this view that shows me how blessed I am to be tired I see things differently. So the next time you ask me how I'm doing I'm going to smile and tell you "I'm living". IJS.

I can't help but feel like I'm suffocating sometimes. No one around me can see and those who do won't help. It's the craziest thing being a black woman. When I leave my house I prepare myself for the dismissal from white women and the lust and or disregard from white men as well as the disrespect of black men and the tearing down from other black women. It's a lot to deal with. Sometimes I just don't want to have to prove that I'm a woman and not an object. I don't always want to prove that I'm qualified...AGAIN... for the 50th time. I don't want to be the "strong black woman" who shows no weakness and takes all the punches EVERY DAY. I don't want to trade stories with other women in a competition for who is the biggest martyr. I truly don't always want to answer the "why do black people..." questions and explain my position on race in this country in a politically acceptable manner to people who can't understand what I'm feeling or saying anyway. It is EXHAUSTING to be me day in and day out. And when I come home I want to relax and have someone help me rebuild my myself so I can do it again the next day. I am ALLOWED to be weak and not in control and not put together in my own home. Being strong doesn't mean I don't hurt too. Being strong doesn't mean I don't need to be held or have my feelings soothed. Being strong doesn't make me less of a woman. It doesn't make me less feminine. The only thing being strong means is that I'm strong. It doesn't nullify any other aspect of who or what I am. And with all that I go through and see and feel on a daily basis there is no question that through it I am abundantly A WOMAN. A BLACK WOMAN. A feminine being who is complex, diverse and ever evolving. Some days I just want to be that and nothing else.

Great Day Sistiren!!! I would shed light on our income tax plans!! Let me be clear that I Am a Homemaker with outside revenues. However, I recommend that 'we' put something away for rainy days. Consider purchasing you vehicle outright! It is an asset. Finance property. Invest in yourself and be Blessed!!! I would also like to know your thoughts on this matter, because I'm feeling as if we can make 'Uncle Sam' work for us!!!! (GO)

Shootings like what happened in Newtown should have women of all nationalities up in arms. Women should be leading the charge to do something about enforcement of the gun laws we already have and implementation of mental health restructure in this country. We are losing children everyday. School shootings, gang shootings, family violence, kids killing kids and accidental gun shootings. As women we should be just as involved as men in policy creation and that starts on the city level and goes up. People are advocating to protect peoples' rightto bear arms even in the face of all the destruction these lose gun laws have caused. Mothers are losing their sons in Florida because of a law (stand your ground) that does more to protect the able bodied grown men that supposedly feel threatened than the teenagers not carrying weapons that they are killing. I for one am not ready to wait until I lose a child to start advocating for better laws and supporting other families, other mothers. My heart drops and I feel pain every time I hear about another mother losing a child. I hurt for the children and families but I mourn for the mothers who will never get to hold or comfort their children again. I don't ever want to know that feeling.

What kind of conversation between women just urks the hell out of you??

I believe that our mothers were right when they told us that, as women, we set the tone for our relationships. Do you agree with that? If so, how did we get to where we are now? What do you think contributed to women being so weak minded and insecure as a whole? When and why did we relinquish our control? Let me know ladies
