Montessori Renaissance Academy Montessori Renaissance Academy is a nonprofit Montessori school in Anoka, MN, serving toddlers through 8th grade.

We offer individualized learning, small class sizes, and a strong community focused on helping each child reach their full potential. Formerly Minnesota Renaissance School, Montessori Renaissance Academy is a private, nonprofit Montessori school located in the north metropolitan suburb of Anoka, MN. For more than 27 years, we have been providing children from 16 months through 8th grade with an alternative to more traditional schools. Our students flourish, testing 25-30% better on required standardized testing than the national average. Our goal is to create a learning environment that meets the needs of each child. We do so by following the philosophy and methods developed by Dr. Maria Montessori throughout the child’s early years and continue to leverage those concepts during the child’s middle school years.

Celebrating a birthday is always special in Children's House. The student carries the globe and walks around " the sun" that is signified by a battery lit candle. Their classmates sing a special song as they walk around the sun one time for each year of their life. Later, they share special photos of their childhood with their classmates too. Truly a beautiful time.
