🍎 🥕 The Anoka-Hennepin School District will participate in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) starting Monday, June 15. Meals will be provided to all children 18 and under at no cost.

📣 Don't miss out on these fun events happening at Lincoln Elementary School this week!

🪘Tonight (5/28) from 5-6:30pm Lincoln School will be hosting their annual Arts Showcase Event! Stop in to see the amazing art being showcased around the whole school including 4th Grade Drum Performances throughout the night in the gym. 🦁 PTO has arranged for the Minnesota Donut Shop food truck to be onsite with food for purchase. They will have mini donuts and hot dogs/chips/beverages for sale.

🍩Donuts with Grownups is on Friday, May 29th from 8:00 am to 8:35 am. Join us in the Gym for donuts, juice, and coffee while we wind down the school year with this free event. Students MUST be accompanied by an adult. See the flyer image for all the details.

🦁5th Grade Yard Signs are HERE!
📣If you purchased a yard sign and didn't pick it up yet, you can visit the Volunteer Service table at Showcase tonight, or ask for Amanda at Donuts with Grownups tomorrow morning from 8-8:35am.
🦁We still have several available at $10 each. They can be purchased with cash (exact change) or online at either event this week.

🍎Parents for Good School Funding Petition
Parents for Good is collecting signatures for a petition that would allow the public to vote on school funding in November.
🍎Sign the petition at the George Green Park Bandshell (across the street from Lincoln) tonight from 5-7pm or tomorrow from 8-9am. Find out more information about what this local non-profit is doing to support our public schools at www.parentsforgood.org/letusvote

🏫Strong schools need strong community support.

📉Since February of 2024, the Anoka-Hennepin School District has made $22.2 million in budget reductions. Phase 3 of cuts will begin to impact schools next year and more cuts are being proposed for the following year. One way to address this funding shortfall and prevent further cuts to our schools is to pass a school funding levy.

🍎Parents for Good is a local non-profit that is working to get a levy on the ballot this November and recently started collecting signatures for the Let Us Vote: School Funding Petition. Signing the petition is the first step in letting the public vote on increasing funding our schools. The goal is to collect 3,000 signatures by June 14th.

👀🎒 Donuts with Grownups flyers when into teacher mailboxes this morning!

🌟This Friday, May 29th from 8am to 8:35am the Lincoln PTO will be serving up Donuts, Juice, & Coffee (while supplies last) in the Gym. This is a FREE event and a great way to connect with other Lincoln families and staff before summer. All Lincoln Families are Welcome! Students MUST be accompanied by an adult.
