Sometimes hands-on learning gets a little messy.

Our Medical Assistant students practiced identifying healthcare hazards and applying real-world safety procedures through an interactive environmental safety challenge. Well done!

Our second-semester Student Medical Assistants put their environmental safety skills to the test today!

Their challenge? Dig through a bag of garbage to find an unknown item and determine what they had found, what safety concerns it presented, and how it should be handled appropriately in a healthcare setting.

Sometimes hands-on learning gets a little messy! 😆 But these future Medical Assistants were learning to recognize hazards, think critically, and apply proper safety procedures in a realistic clinical situation.

Who knew digging through garbage could be part of preparing for a career in healthcare? 🩺🗑️👏

🧬 Tiny structures, big learning 🧬

Our Health Anatomy & Physiology students traded textbooks for Play-Doh and crayons as they created model cells. Each group was assigned a different cell structure and challenged to recreate it by hand, helping bring complex concepts to life in a fun, interactive way.
