There was great weather yesterday in Montgomery at the Capitol for the 2026 Arbor Day ceremony. State contest winners Gowan Lee, first place, (Goldsmith-Schiffman Elementary in Huntsville), Madalynn Luna, second place (Ohatchee Elementary) and Kaimana Dehnel, third place (Weatherly Heights Elementary in Huntsville) were all in attendance and excited to be there. The trio planted a Bloodgood Japanese maple with Governor Ivey and received a personalized shovel. Thanks to our teachers, parents, 4-H leaders and sponsors for another successful year!
