More Alumni Sightings -- We’ve had several Falcons stop by Donoho lately, and we love getting to visit with them and hear how college life is treating them.

Caitlyn Perkins ’25 visited a few weeks ago before traveling to Portugal with her family and then heading back to the University of Southern California for her second year. She’s pictured with Mrs. Mims.

Today, Cayden Brooks ’26 stopped by while home from the University of South Alabama for fall break. We also welcomed Morgan Perry ’26 and Bryant Whitney ’26 back to campus from Auburn University, pictured with a few of their favorite Donoho teachers — Mrs. Henry, Mrs. Burrage, Ms. Taylor, Mrs. Senter, and Ms. Dewberry.

A quick reminder that Donoho will be closed Friday through Tuesday for fall break, but we’d love to see any other Falcons who are in town pop by later next week. Always good to see our Falcons back on campus!

ALUMNI IN THE NEWS: Tate Thomas ’12

Congratulations to Tate, who was recently named one of Alabama AGC’s 40 Under 40 in Construction for 2026!

Tate is Director of Operations for Geotechnical Engineering at BHATE Geosciences in Birmingham, where he has helped lead and support major projects across Alabama and the Southeast. We’re proud to see this Donoho Falcon recognized among the rising leaders in Alabama’s construction industry.

Alumni Sighting: We loved getting to visit with Foster Payton ’26, who’s in town from Huntsville for fall break! Foster is still making us proud as he continues his studies at UAH. He shared an update on his CAL II class and the Engineering Club he’s involved in.

We’re always grateful for the opportunity to catch up with our Falcons and hear about all they’re accomplishing! Foster is pictured here with Mrs. Senter and Mrs. Henderson.

ALUMNI IN THE NEWS: Harrison Hughston ‘19 & Jacob LeCroy ‘19

A big congratulations to Harrison and Jacob, who were crowned the 2026 Sunny King Charity Classic Champions this weekend — and made it back-to-back wins! These two have been winning together for a long time. As Donoho golfers, they were both 1st Team All-County and helped lead the Falcons to the 2018 AHSAA 1A-2A Team State Championship during their junior year. They even celebrated their collegiate signings together as Donoho seniors — Harrison heading to the University of Montevallo and Jacob to the University of South Alabama.

Both went on to play five years of collegiate golf, earning plenty of honors, setting records, collecting wins, and earning their master’s degrees along the way. And through it all, they’ve remained great friends and teammates — making this championship win together even more special.

We’re so proud of you both, Harrison and Jacob, and will always be cheering you on. Congratulations on another great win! 🏆⛳️

ALUMNI IN THE NEWS | Cameron Brimer ’09

Congratulations to Dr. Cameron Brimer ’09, who was recently honored with the 2026 UAB Young Alumni Rising Star Award by the UAB National Alumni Society!

The award recognizes young UAB alumni who have demonstrated professional and personal excellence while giving their time and energy in service to the university and their local community. Cameron was one of five young alumni under 40 selected for this year’s award and was honored at their annual alumni awards dinner on September 24.

Cameron is currently serving as Regional Medical Director for Primary Care at Lee Health in Fort Myers, Florida, where he oversees 16 primary care clinics and a growing team. He shared that he is especially proud to be a first-generation college graduate and credits Donoho with helping prepare him for his journey.

Cameron is also the third Donoho alum to receive an award for outstanding achievement from the UAB National Alumni Society, joining Eric Wallace ’98 and Anand Iyer ’03. Here’s more information regarding the awards and past recipients: https://bit.ly/UABNationalAlumniAwards
