We have some exciting news!!! 🍎📚✏️
This fall we will be offering a new "Kindergarten Prep" Class at Hill Crest Academy! We are so excited to offer this opportunity to our area to help build a strong foundation for students to have future academic success!

What is our Kindergarten Prep?
-This will act as a transitional period between preschool and traditional kindergarten for children needing more time to mature for a full-day, formal setting.
-This also gives younger learners the time and space to build the foundational skills they need to thrive in Kindergarten.

Who qualifies for Kindergarten Prep?
-Students that are generally older than Pre-K4 students.
-Children with birthdays close to the kindergarten cutoff, making them among the youngest in their class. They must turn 5 by December 1, 2026 and they cannot turn 6 by September 1, 2026.
-Those who have completed preschool but might not yet be fully ready for the demands of a traditional kindergarten.
-Children that just may need one more year to grow and develop.

What will the standards of our program look like?
-This will be taught by a certified K-6 teacher and the classroom will have a teacher's aide.
-Class size of 10 students.
-Students will attend Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 3:30. There will be an option for early drop-off and extended stay.
-This will be offered during our regular School Session (August - May).
-Curriculum will be based from a review of our K4 curriculum with a transition into Kindergarten standards.
