Yesterday, we were honored to welcome the team from DeKalb County Economic Development Authority to the Advanced Manufacturing Center in Gadsden.

It was a great opportunity to share resources, discuss workforce development initiatives, and explore ways we can continue building a stronger workforce pipeline for our region. Partnerships like these are essential in creating opportunities for students, employers, and communities across Northeast Alabama.

🔧 Building the Workforce of Tomorrow at Gadsden State

Last week, we proudly celebrated Signing Day for both our FAME and CoMeT students at Gadsden State! These outstanding students are taking the next step toward high-demand careers through two incredible work-based learning programs hosted on the Ayers Campus and the Gadsden Campus.

Through FAME and CoMeT, students attend classes at Gadsden State two days a week while gaining valuable real-world experience three days a week with industry partners. This unique earn while you learn model allows students to build technical skills, leadership abilities, and hands-on experience that prepare them for long-term success.

Between both programs, nearly 90 students signed for education and employment opportunities with our outstanding industry partners. This is an exciting milestone for workforce development in our region!

Congratulations to all of the students who signed and committed to their future careers! A big thank you to our industry partners for investing in workforce development and helping shape the next generation of skilled professionals. The future is bright! ✨
