Marlboro Day 2K26! 🎉
A day filled with community, unity, and celebration of the rich history of Upper Marlboro. From the annual parade to the incredible performances, local vendors, and neighbors coming together throughout the day, it was truly a great time for all.
A special shoutout to the Frederick Douglass High School Band for representing our community and participating in this cherished hometown tradition. Your talent, pride, and spirit were on full display!
There’s nothing like celebrating the place we call home💜

Congratulations to the 47 James Madison Middle School National Junior Honor Society inductees from the Class of 2026!
It was truly an honor to serve as the keynote speaker at this year’s induction ceremony. Attending a school is one thing, but returning years later to pour into the next generation of leaders is a full-circle moment I don’t take for granted.
Membership in NJHS is a significant achievement and a reflection of scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship. I am excited to see all that these future leaders will accomplish.
As a proud JMMS alum, it was especially exciting to learn that one of the departing NJHS members will be joining the FDHS P-TECH program this fall. The legacy continues!
Thank you to the JMMS administration, staff, and families for your unwavering commitment to student success.
