Being protested at the moment in race one today. If disqualified, TEAM USA will drop the DSQ and take a 9 from a previous race adding one point to their total. Making for a 7 point deficit from 2nd place.
TEAM USA started off the day with two thirds but unfortunately pushing the line too hard resulted in an OCS (on course side) for race four. Even with the OCS, TEAM USA settles into the third place slot for the day. They are preparing to sail another aggressive day tomorrow with the intention to be on the correct side of the starting line!
A better day on the water for TEAM USA. Two third places moves us up to second place overall.

Last weekend, Team USA represented the Midshipman in the U.S. Offshore Championships against eight other very competitive teams from all around the country. The three day regatta held a mixture of buoy racing and point to point racing with a finish after sun set. At the conclusion of the regatta, the Navy Midshipman found themselves tied for third place, and unfortunately lost the tie breaker, finishing 4th overall. Team USA would like to thank all of the teams that came and competed and is looking forward to seeing them on the water in the future.
