Sailing With Friends Working Through Winter

Ya know it's cold in Annapolis when the gulls are standing atop the water in Ego Ally.

It’s not too early to start thinking about Spring and Summer sailing. https://www.boatsetter.com/boats/zpvrphp.

I crewed for an owner on his boat yesterday and we sailed from Back Creek Annapolis to the Magothy River and back. Weather was beautiful. On the way out we barely had enough wind to keep us moving. Coming back we had sustained 20 knots hitting 25. We reefed in both sails and did some really great sailing. Fall sailing can be really great.

Spent 14 hours yesterday helping Captain Dave Lamay deliver a boat from Herring Bay on the Chesapeake to the Washington Yacht Club at the Wharf in WDC. Check out Captain Dave’s post to see some beautiful shots coming up the Potomac River. We came back to Annapolis and stayed on ESCAPE to do some fall sailing. I haven’t been on the boat for about 10 days. Nothing beats waking up on a beautiful fall morning in the marina.
