The NAPS mission is to promote the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of children from the Annapolis area.

NAPS provides a structured and nurturing environment that identifies and responds to the unique needs of our students. We are an AIMS accredited independent school offering 3's Preschool through 8th Grade. We welcome parents and their children to join our community and start their educational journey with NAPS. NAPS welcomes all families to apply. You do not need to be a military family to attend

Last week, a group of 7th grade NAPSters delivered 8 handmade knit newborn hats to the Auxiliary Office at Luminis Anne Arundel Medical Center. Our 7th-grade students voted unanimously to knit hats as a service-learning initiative. With lessons and guidance from Ms. Olin, Mrs. Houfek and Mrs. Sumner, students dedicated Advisory periods, school time, and even travel time on their field trip bus rides to master the craft. The project concluded with this delivery where they also received mentorship from long-standing volunteers and practiced active community citizenship. ⚓🧶✨

Our middle schoolers set sail last night for the annual Spring Fling Semi-Formal Event. The group cruised around Annapolis on the Harbor Queen, and danced the night away. 🚢🎶 ⚓

Our 7th-grade students recently hosted CMSgt Rob Watkins, an Air Force PJ who led the tactical underground rescue efforts for the Thai Wild Boars soccer team in 2018. Stationed in Okinawa when the call came in, CMSgt Watkins and his elite team were pivotal in successfully saving all 13 trapped lives. Thank you, Chief Watkins, for sharing this inspiring masterclass in leadership, bravery, and resilience with NAPS! ⚓

🏆 We rolled out the red carpet for our inaugural Preschool ABC Oscars! Students and staff donned elaborate costumes and sequins to introduce their designated letters. Representing everything from a butterfly, to a hockey player, to a gumball machine, a fairy, a queen, an explorer and more, our 3s NAPSters delivered five-star performances. This event provided a perfect celebration of foundational literacy for our youngest learners. ⚓

Tomorrow marks our final charitable dress down day of the school year, with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society in observance of National Cancer Research Month. This specific organization was recommended by Mrs. Smith and Ms. Awadis. Mr. Awadis shared a powerful story of resilience about her 50-year-old cousin-in-law. Following a Stage 4 gastroesophageal cancer diagnosis in January 2025, his family faced a critical period where his survival was uncertain. Through the unwavering support of family, friends, and prayer, he persevered and continues to grow stronger every day. We are honored to dress down in support of life-saving research and celebrate the strength of our extended community. ⚓
