Congratulations to Sergeant Fontz for being named Employee of the Quarter at the Jennifer Road Detention Center!
Sergeant Fontz goes well above and beyond the everyday routine. Whether he’s conducting security checks, answering questions, or sharing real-world scenario training, he consistently ensures our team feels supported—always leaving his direct line open for guidance.
Without ever seeking recognition, he devotes countless voluntary hours to protecting the mental, emotional, and relational well-being of our correctional officers:
Peer Support: As a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team member, he dedicates 6–8 hours a week off the clock to lead debriefings and guide officers through high-stress situations.
Family Wellness: He volunteers 10 hours a month to build and lead training programs that equip staff, families, and union groups with vital tools to navigate PTSD, job stress, and communication at home.
Paws on the Beat: He partnered with Badges and Breakthroughs to bring a therapy dog program to both of our facilities!
Thank you, Sergeant Fontz, for your tireless dedication to our officers, their families, and our entire community. This honor is well deserved!
