The Second NALC Lecture Series

Yesterday, Midshipmen gathered in Mitscher Hall to hear the 2nd of 3 Lecture Series for the 2025 Leadership Conference. Our guest speaker, Colonel John Vaughn, USMC, is currently the senior criminal defense attorney for the Marine Corps, has held command twice at both the O-5 and O-6 levels, and has a Purple Heart and Combat Action Ribbon. He discussed balancing convictions and duty as a service member.

The lecture series will continue in January.

Tomorrow marks the first full day of NALC 2020! Our Forrestal Speaker is ADM James G. Stavridis, USN (Ret.). ADM Stavridis served as NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe from 2009-2013, and currently acts as an Operating Executive with the Carlyle Group.

2 days until NALC 2020! Our fourth and final Keynote Speaker is the Honorable Christopher A. Wray, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Mr. Wray also served as the assistant attorney general for the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division.

4 days until NALC 2020! Our third Keynote Speaker is Dean Peg Klein of the College of Leadership and Ethics at the Naval War College. Dean Klein graduated from the Naval Academy in 1981 and served in the Navy for over thirty years.

NALC 2020 starts in 5 days! Our second Keynote Speaker is LtGen Ronald L. Bailey, USMC (Ret.). LtGen Bailey currently serves as the Vice President for External Affairs at Austin Peay State University.

6 days until NALC 2020! Our first Keynote Speaker is Mr. Bob Chapman, the Chairman and CEO of Barry-Wehmiller. Mr. Chapman was recently named the #3 CEO in the world by Inc. Magazine.

Only one week until the start of NALC 2020! We’ll be kicking off our opening reception with LT Kayla Barron, USN, an astronaut and submariner. See you all there!
