5 Great Reasons to Be Part of Hillsmere’s PTA

1. PTA helps you keep up with what’s happening in your school and how you can support your child’s education.
2. PTA provides information on topics ranging from homework help to bull

ying prevention to media safety to child health and more.
3. PTA connects you to other families through meetings, events, and communications, and helps build a sense of community.
4. Hone your skills. PTA offers opportunities for you to use your talents to benefit children and the school. PTA can help you expand your skills too.
5. Speak up. PTA can be a way to more effectively suggest changes at your child’s school and in your community, and to be involved in making them happen.

First Day of School, Grades 1-5: Monday, August 24

Doors open 7:45am and students should be at their desks at 8:00am.

*Parents will not be able to enter the school and take their child to the classroom on the first day

Kindergarten & Pre-K4 Conferences: Monday & Tuesday, August 24 & 25

*Parents should have received a letter in the mail for their conference date/time and staggered start date. Please contact the school if you did not receive the letter.

Kindergarten & Pre-K4 Staggered Start: Wednesday - Friday, August 26-28

*Your student will be assigned 1 of these staggered start dates in the letter you receive.

Back to School Night: Wednesday, September 2, 5-6:30pm
